The Ex-pats

Client Story Two

The Ex-pats

Living overseas and buying a home in Australia is a big challenge. Having someone on the ground looking after your interests only and giving you solid independent advice can make the process less stressful and extremely successful. This is The Ex-Pats.

The Challenge

The Connollys, who were living overseas needed someone they could trust and someone that understood their brief. A family home to accommodate all of their children under one roof when they all come together back in Melbourne. A home that was close to parks, cafes and the beach. It was also important that the home be ‘lock-up and go’ as they travel extensively to and from Australia.

We began looking in the prestige suburbs of Middle Park and Albert Park given the proximity of the CBD as well. We identified a beautiful home and then soon realised that while it ticked all of the required ‘boxes’ it just wouldn’t accommodate the whole family long term.

The Outcome

Presenting alternative suburbs that were also blue chip opened the Connolly’s options right up. We found a terrific home, with more bedrooms, grounds and a pool in another blue chip beachside suburb that is perfect for them now and into the future.

“We were referred to Nicole while we were looking for a property in Melbourne. As we live overseas, we needed someone who we could trust to target  specific properties that suited us. We found Nicole extremely professional and worked hard to find and then get us the house we eventually purchased, at a price below our expectation in a terrific area we had not considered. The service  did not end at the purchase point either and Nicole was invaluable in helping us with furnishings and using a builder for some modifications.” Katrina and Mark Connolly, Hong Kong
